1. Agreement to terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Al-Mashgool mobile application, website, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by Al-Mashgool and/or HibSoft Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Description of service
Al-Mashgool provides a digital library of Islamic works associated with Sheikh Ishaq Yunus Bauchi, including text and PDF content organized by category and language. Features may include search, reading, sharing, and account-based access. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least the minimum age required in your jurisdiction (typically 13 or older) or have parental consent.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security risks.
- Administrative or editorial accounts are granted only to authorized personnel.
4. Content and intellectual property
4.1 Our content
Library materials, branding, software, and design elements are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Unless expressly permitted, you may not copy, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from content except for personal, non-commercial study as allowed within the app.
4.2 Third-party and scholarly works
Works are provided for educational and religious benefit. Rights in underlying texts may belong to authors, estates, or publishers. You must respect any attribution, usage limits, or regional restrictions indicated in the content or by law.
4.3 User submissions
The consumer app is not intended for public user-generated publishing. If you contact us with feedback or support materials, you grant us a license to use that input to operate and improve the Services.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or harassing purposes;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or admin systems;
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the API except as we expressly allow;
- Circumvent technical protections or share access tokens;
- Upload malware or interfere with other users’ experience;
- Misrepresent affiliation with Al-Mashgool or Sheikh Ishaq Yunus Bauchi.
6. Educational disclaimer
Content is provided for general Islamic education and reflection. It does not constitute personal religious rulings (fatwa) for your specific situation. Consult qualified scholars for individualized guidance. We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that all materials are complete, current, or free from error.
7. Third-party services
The app may link to external sites or use device features (e.g. file viewers, browsers). We are not responsible for third-party services. Your use of app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) is subject to their respective terms.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or events beyond our control may cause downtime. We may update these Terms; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100), whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be limited by applicable law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Al-Mashgool, HibSoft, and their officers, partners, and agents from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion via support. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the platform. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
Disputes should first be raised with support@al-mashgool.com. If unresolved, courts in Nigeria shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where local law grants you non-waivable rights to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.
Update governing law and jurisdiction if your registered entity is located elsewhere.
